Play Store Notifications

Very strange. I've found similar reports but only affecting the OnePlus 6T. No idea if it's the same problem or if the fix could work.

Have you already tried force stop, clear data and cache for the Download Manager?

I cleared cache, but not storage (data). Wasn't sure if that would cause further issues or not. Guess I'll try it.

Still no luck, but found out some more information. If I install a new app, while I don't get the progress of the install, I do get the notification of it's completion.

I'm not sure what else to suggest. Try safe mode, as B. Diddy said, to rule out any conflict with a third party app. And don't worry about clearing data for the Download Manager, it shouldn't delete any important file or information.

I left the notification shade open when downloading an app so you could see both, progress from the Download Manager and installed from the play store.

Thanks for all the help. I'll mess with it some more tonight after work. I thought I saw an option to reset all notifications. I might try that.

Tried Safe Mode and still not working. I can't find the reset notification option that I found last night.

I was going to try that as a last resort, before having to consider a full reset.

I don't remember seeing that setting, the most similar I can think of is "Reset app preferences" (settings - apps & notifications - see all xxx apps - three dots top right).

Yep, that's the one, but after reading it more closely, I don't think it will helped. I'm bummed....
