I just received my Pixel 7 Pro and it is working great. However, I noted that the Google system play update is set to July 1st. I have updated the system and if everything I think I know how to do but it's still said it that date. Thoughts?

Mine is the same. Im wondering if its because I set up my phone via wifi only. I left my SIM in my old phone until I get home. Wondering if that has anything to do with it.

I'd just give it a little time. I recall something similar when I got my Pixel 6a -- it took a few weeks for the updates to become current on that phone.

Same here. I pulled the October security update shortly after setting mine up my P7P. I noticed the Play System Update was dated July 1 and tried to update it but it says I'm up to date.

I just checked with Google, and they informed me that they are aware of the problem and are working on it. They said check back in a couple of days and it should all be good.

Mine now says there is an update, but when I click the dowload and install it says "updates are temporarily unavailable, please try later"
Since yesterday, Tried it on charger, delete cache, delete all storage (for Google Play)
Still the same.

Maybe check if there is a Google play services update. Open settings and go to apps, then find google play services and click on it. Then scroll to the bottom where it says installed from play store, click on that and it should bring you to Google play services in the play store.

It says "something went wrong please try again!"
I'l in UK by the way.

Thanks for help

Another thing you can check is that you have the correct time and date on your phone. In settings make sure automatic time and automatic time zone are enabled. Do you have multiple Google accounts logged in? Also try removing your Google account and adding it back.

The former seems ok. I'll try logging out on my next break. Thanks again.

Signed out and back in all the same (Oh I missed this :))
Time and date correct and on automatic.
I'll live with it

I wonder... it's got nothing to do with my old phone? That has? I think September, but it's turned off

I don't think that will affect anything. Have you checked for play store update in the app? Open app, click profile picture, then go to settings, hit about, and then towards the bottom it shows play store version. Click to update play store.

If that doesn't work then try this. Open settings and go to apps, then scroll down to Google play store. Then force stop, clear cache, then hit the 3 dot menu button in the top right and choose uninstall updates. After that is done then restart your phone, open the play store again and try to update like I said before. Also try to update Google play services, the system app, again as well.

I did a factory reset :O
It's now gone back to saying July is up to date with a big orange!
