Play System Update on July 1

I did a factory reset :O
It's now gone back to saying July is up to date with a big orange!

Another thing you can try is to clear the cache on the system app named Google services framework

Alright, no problem man. Hopefully they roll out a fix for it soon. Share an update if anything changes. Take care.

Yes, been a few Play glitches recently.
For others. I also unsuccessfully tried: Enabling find my device as Admin, uninstalling all updates, factory reset (as its brand new) deleting all caches and data.
I would have left it when it said it was up to date, but I got a 79KB update showing (now gone) and pressing download and install created the error.

I just had a pleasant but unfulfilling conversation with Google support. They informed me that they're still rolling it out. I guess I will just wait.

Isn't everyone with a 7 or 7 Pro still on July. There are several threads in Reddit about it and saying Google is aware.

I just setup my new Pixel 7 and when I check for Play System updates I get one is available and when I tap Download & Install I get an error. Seems like an issue on Google's end

Apparently a widespread issue, there are blog posts about this. Same thing happened to me, but now it says “your device is up to date" with the July 1 update.

Well, that's one way to "fix" it. :\

That's very possible. With a few different betas and update paths running at once they are bound to make mistakes once in a while. I work in software programming and know how easy it is to bork an update.
