Played with a Thunderbolt - surprisingly similar in size

I was at the Verizon store and played with the TB a bit. I was surprised at just not similar it was in size. The Fascinate is actually longer. TB is just slight wider, but a moderate about thicker. The thicker part is really where its larger. But for having a larger screen I was impressed with how similar the footprint of the phone is. Almost made me tempted to upgrade...

The screen was nice. I don't think I really care about the kickstand. 2.2 built in is nice, although I'm spoiled having a debloated phone.

You jack the brightness on the fascinate and the differences are night and day, no phone other than IPhone 4 beats super amoled, and to be honest the screen is the deal breaker for me. Main reason I traded in the droid x for the fascinate.

I forgot one was a sAmoled and one not. I'd love to jack the brightness up but my battery life is already bad enough as it is. Although I've heard bad things about battery life on the TB as well.

Agree with you about being spoiled having a debloated phone... I have an upgrade coming up and was thinking of going with the TB, but I finally have the phone running so good it would feel like a downgrade trading it for one that is full of Verizon crap. Plus the screen on the Fascinate is so darn pretty! lol

The iPhone still doesn't have the outdoor visibility of the fascinate from my reading. It's just got higher resolution, which doesn't bother me at all.
