Playing apps like Teamviewer in the background

i have a unique need where i use teamviewer to log into my computer at home to listen to specific webex webcasts that only work on a PC. but i sometimes need to answer a text or email, but when i get out of the app, the audio part and video part stops. how can i get the audio part to play in the background while im doing other things on the phone? is there a generic play in the background app?

Have you tried just hitting the Home (fingerprint reader) button? A well written app will continue in the background. Some apps, specifically YouTube comes to mind, purposely break that functionality and put it behind a paywall, but it may work in your case.

yes, of course...as soon as i press the home button, the app goes quiet..it comes back on when i open the app again

Sounds like your app took the same route as YouTube then, and purposely broke that function.
