Our phones, when connected to the same wifi network as the ps3, will act as a remote control for youtube and netflix? What you do is launch the app on the playstation and then launch the app on your phone. The youtube app on the phone should prompt you about detecting the ps3. Follow the simple steps to get an activation code and then your set. For the netflix app, it's even easier. Just tap to play on your phone and a prompt will give you the option to play it on the ps3. Then your phone turns into a badass remote control that lets you browse your queue, read previews, turn on subtitles and all that other good stuff. It's better than using the ps3 media remote. Go check it out!

Knew about the YouTube integration but not the netflix compatibility. Cool.

Also this should work on most smartphones, not just the GS3.

Anyone feel like trying this with their xbox? Mine is boxed up on a shelf and I'm not motivated to unbox it until Halo 4.

do you have to be logged in for this? And I don't think it works with Xbox man. Everyone here had been trying to connect the s3 to there for months. I know I couldn't get it work.

As for ps3 this is pretty cool. Didn't Know about it. I'll have to try. Also there's an all called blue put droid which lets you control your ps3 via Bluetooth. That's what I normally use. It works fairly well.

I tried what you said and I never saw a prompt on my phone for the YouTube app Iraq the Netflix app.

Thanks for the head's up. The UI of the Youtube app on the PS3 is really poor when using a remote. Using the phone would make it much easier.

Since we're talking PS3.......anyone know any fix or workaround for cinavia on the PS3?!?! Please PM me if you do! Thank you!

Another cool PS3 tip: using the BubbleUPnP app, your S III acts as a media server/renderer.

The videos you've recorded and transferred to your phone can be streamed wirelessly to your PS3 from your phone in full HD.

If you use or have used the PS3 Media Server on your computer, it's basically the same thing. The difference is that your phone is the server.

I stream Disney movies in HD onto the PS3 for my niece to enjoy. All while still being able to use my phone!

I streamed Up and Wall-E yesterday and it looked amazing.
