Playstore app

The Samsung Gravity Smart has extremely limited internal memory. The new Playstore App automatically installs itself every time I download another app. Then, I have to remove the Playstore app before I do anything else, because the Playstore app has consumed all of the memory. :(

Isn't there something that I can do to stop the Playstore app from installing itself?

If you have not intention of using it and in favour of more memory, why not just delete the apk via adb?

Two questions;
First, what is adb?
Second, isn't there some way to stop the original app store app from updating itself into the playstore app?

I don't know much about the gravity smart but if it could be rooted you could delete the market updater apk an market apk it self or install a older version of the market titanium backup is good for such things there may be an app somewhere on the market that works similar for unrooted devices I'm not sure hope this helps a bit good luck
