Playstore no connection

When I tried to go into the play store to download an app, I kept getting a "no connection" error with a retry button. My wifi is connected, I can log onto Facebook, the browser etc. Anybody experienced this before? I tried restarting my tablet, and tried a hard reset as well.

Go into Settings - Apps, clear cache and data for the Play Store and try again.

If that doesn't solve the issue you can also try to force the app to stop by going into Settings - Apps - selecting Google Play Store. Then simply startup the app again and hopefully you get it to connect without any errors.
