Please enter at least 1 valid recipient

When i try to send an international text and some local ones for example with a prefix +614******** it says please enter at least 1 invalid recipient! But when i do 04******** the text goes through. I just migrated from an iphone and i dont want to have to edit every single contact to fix this problem.
