Please explain storage usage. Seems like it's not accurate.

According to my device storage (not SD card storage), I have 7.74 GB free out of 32 GB total. But if you look at the Application usage it shows 29 GB used.

So how can I have 7.74 GB free?

Can anyone explain?

Try doing great a hard reset (hold power, volume down, and home simultaneously until phone shuts down, then restart) see if that works.

The op never said that he didn't have an sd card, only that the screen shot was of internal memory. If he has an sd card, then he should remove it to see what it shows as storage capacity. Reason being there is a bug wherein app storage on SD card shows will count towards internal storage app usage. Removing the sd card should provide a more accurate internal memory usage.
