Please Help! Broken Screen on LG Optimus

[AC Question]

I dropped my phone, cracked the screen. It still rings and receives texts albeit in silent mode, but I cannot use the touch feature to retrieve. I would like to see if I can recover pics that were not on SD card, but my computer won;t recognize my phone when it is plugged in except to charge. I tried using an OTG cable, but phone won't pick up the mouse! Is there ANYthing else I can possibly do? I'm sick about this! I will try anything to recover my pics.

Welcome to Android Central! Have you taken the phone to a repair shop and gotten an estimate for screen repair? It might be <$100, which may be worthwhile, unless you're set on getting a new phone.

No, I have not because I'm getting a new phone...just desperately want pics off before sending back.

Have you tried placing the SD card in an adapter that would allow you to then insert it into the USB port on your computer and move the pictures that way? I'm assuming that your SD card can still be removed and is not stuck or jammed in the phone right?^IV

The OP mentioned that the photos in question are not on the external SD.
