I hope someone can help me. I picked up a Droid2 at a tradeshow and after a while did a 'Factory Reset' (don't ask why). When it turns on it asks for a verizon account to 'activate' the phone and I am an AT&T customer.

I had a buddy use his verizon account info, but it still says further assistance is needed. I actually took the phone to a verizon store, but they won't touch it because I'm not a verizon customer.

I don't want to use the Droid to make calls. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get the phone past the account verification screen?

Thanks :(

He doesn't want to. He said he's an AT&T subscriber but said he just wants to use the phone offline, or via wifi. Just like an iPod touch for example.

Sorry yeah you should only have to tap the corners of the phone in a clockwise manner starting from the top left
