Verizon Galaxy S8 Please help, duplicate text driving me insane.

Hi guys I just got a note 8 a few days ago, I had a moto z force prior to it. The last couple days every time my brother sends me a text with his s8plus I get duplicate texts, some times I get as many as 15. And sometimes they come in at odd times and not in the sequence they were sent. Is anyone dealing with this? Also he Is the only one I text that I have this issue with! He is also the only one that is ussing another new Samsung simular to mine. Thanks for any help.

One of my clients told me my texts come in two's. It was in a group chat.

I'm wondering if it's a issue when the sender and recipient of the texts both have a Samsung 8 or a note 8? Because I've never had this issue before and when i Google it , it seems it may be a Samsung issue but no one talks about a fix.
