Android Central Question
I cleared data on Whatsapp under the Application Manager on my Samsung Note 4 at about 3:15 AM today.
When then doing an import of the backed up messages it didn't add any from the last 48 hours.
It looks like I have files saved from the time set to back up which is 2AM today
There is are mgstore.db.crypt12 and mgstore-2018-02-18.1.db.crypt.12. I was asleep at that time not doing anything on my phone so I'm pretty sure the only thing that could have written something at 2:01 AM would have been the automated backup.
Have tried Dr Phone, which restarted my phone several times trying to root and then failed, and a couple of other recovery tools like GihSoft, which are trying to get me to sign up for the pro version in order to restore my data from memory, without showing me what data they're actually detecting.
I really need those messages. They are super super important to me.
Please, is anyone able to tell me how I can recover them?
