Please help: "Insert SIM Card" error on SPRINT network

No, the clockworkmod tar file won'r restore you to stock, it just gives you root. You want to download the stock Sprint image from xda-developers - View Single Post - [Official] Latest STOCK ROMS for SPRINT SGS3 (SPH-L710) - [24/05/2012 - L710VPALEN]
and use Odin to flash it.

The clockwork mod tar doesn't give you root. It just loads clockwork mod. The team epic root from recovery gives you root.

There is a return to stock guide stickied in this section. It has the updated tar from Samsung that will return you to stock jellybean. I just updated yesterday.

So you dont think i should use that guide to flash to stock? can you post a link where it will tell me how to flash to stock?

Sorry, I was referring to aleksb6's post, where in step 3 he says "Root the phone with this guide . Make sure to toggle the binary protection to off per instructions in the guide." Which links to this guide http://forums.androidcentral.com/sp...e-updated-how-root-your-sprint-galaxy-s3.html

I'm confused about what "Binary Protection" aleksb6 is talking about as I don't see it mentioned in your guide anywhere.

Yeah... I haven't a clue about the binary protection.

My phone doing same thing insert sim card, took it to sprint a tech pull up a hidden menu and said my phone thought it was a international version and changed some setting he did not give me the code to do that, still having problem.

okay so i have tried almost every thing that y'all have talked about. but i am still getting the insert sim error. when i bouth the phone it was rooted. i put it in download mode right away to check the counter and he only flashed one rom.... well the reason i wanted it back to stock is because the rom that was on it killed my battry. well i went to qbking77's websight and fallowed his vid. like i normaly do. well it pushed it back to ics 4.0.4.... so i tryed doing the manual update like i have been told but it errors out every time. just want stock so i could root it and still be running stock. any advice would help. thanks
