Please Help!!! It seems I've hard bricked my phone!

Hello fellow android users.
I seem to have made a rookie mistake, and hard bricked my phone.
After going from Cyanogenmod, I went back to stock ROM no problem. However, after finding I could use Triangle Away, but with root I decided to go for it, and unroot it later. I attempted rooting, for which Odin said it failed, so I got mixed up in my steps and tried unrooting since it had some root features but not access. Jumbled up in fury, I switched it off and upon rebooting, the only screen I can manage to get says "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please selected recovery mode in Kies & try again." In the left hand corner it reads:
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: SPH-L710
CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD: YES (4 COUNTS)
CURRENT BINARY: Custom
SYSTEM STATUS: Custom
QUALCOMM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE
Warranty Bit: 1
BOOTLOADER AP SWREV: 1

It broke my heart, and after searching a few forms, I gave up and contacted Sprint. The service chat worker couldn't help me because my phone refuses to boot past the "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please selected recovery mode in Kies & try again." unless I go to download mode but that's the only way. He said if I went into the stores they'd fix it, but it'd be $75. I'd prefer to do it for free, but if not it's okay.
It's a 16GB SPH-L710 And I would appreciate all if any help.
A stupid mistake, and I refuse to do this again once repaired.:-X

Thanks for your time.

Sounds like you've only soft-bricked your phone. Try this:
  • Fire up Samsung Kies
  • Take out your battery (if you can) and note the serial number of your device
  • Connect your phone to your computer
  • Go to Tools > Firmware Upgrade and Initialization
  • Enter SPH-L710 into the device model number field
  • Enter the serial number you noted earlier into the S/N field
  • Click OK. It could take a while, depending on your internet speed.
  • After it's done, follow the instructions very carefully.
  • Click Start upgrade and it will download more firmware updates
  • Done!

Go to samsung updates. com, download the stock ROM file (use the drop down menu for your exact device), pull the .md5 file and plug it into ODIN.

It's going as we speak. I didn't even think about this, silly me.
Thank you so much and I'll update you!

This post is the truth. I watched and looked at youtube videos and I never found anything close to what is post says. I followed the directions on my hard/soft bricked Sprint GS3 and it worked like a charm. Sprint phone support couldn't help; and the store wouldn't touch me after they saw I tried to root it. (Bums) Thanks for posting this info b/c I now have my phone back and working again. I'll try a better root next time b/c believe you me, I will use my phone as a free hotspot. Unlimited means unlimited. I choose the manner in which I use my phone and not what Sprint wants to allow me.
