Android Central Question

Please I dont know what to do next. I cant find the solution anywhere. Bought Samsung J7 Prime a month ago. Bought sd card 32 gb Sandisk. The phone recognized it, it showed up on the file explorer, but couldnt play anything that I put there. I format the sd card, same. I put both mp3 and flac music files, wont play any (some albums didnt appear at all in the music player, some others did appear but couldnt be played, sign about not supported file format. This happened with both the mp3s and the flac files). I tried putting the music both at the root of the sd card and on a separate folder and nothing, the same as above. I gave up so I bought a 16 gb sandisk card only to come home, put music in it and the same thing happened again! And I cant find the answers anywhere! There are a hundred forums of sd cards not being recognized by the phone buy mine do recognize them, is just that doesnt work. Either the files are gone when I restart the phone or cant be played. And this happened to me twice! Im seriously considering changing the damn phone. Please, I beg you, so kind of answer. Anything.

Welcome to Android Central! Where did you get your mp3 files from? Can you try downloading a free sample mp3 file from any website and copying that to the SD card to see if that plays? I'm just wondering if there's something specific about your mp3 files that's causing the problem, or if it's a problem with the phone playing any mp3 files from the SD card.
