Please help me with how to use Incense

Hi, just want to ask when is Incense best used? While moving or stationary? I used one the other day and it didn't spawn any uncommon or rare pokemons and its as if I didn't use an incense since its only spawning very common pokemons. -_-

I heard it's best to use one while moving, I've done that & got loads of Pokemon. I've also heard that you can go deep into a field where you get no Pokemon on the sightings list & away from any roads/pavements & put one on & keep walking deeper into a field.

You'll probably encounter better Pokemon the higher level you are, and i'd say both moving/stationary might just get you the same yield. I've gotten plenty while sitting in one place.

If you're stationary you get about 1 Pokémon every 4 or 5 minutes, if you move you get 1 every minute or so apparently, providing you're moving fast enough for it to register.

Either way you'll get the same common Pokémon with a very occasional rare if you're lucky. It's not worth spending money on in my opinion.

i've read in another site that there's a trick in spawning uncommon or rare ones, they say that if you go in a secluded area away from roads, pokestops and gyms and you use incense, it will do the trick, how true is this?

Use them while moving, because you can find way more pokemon. Great to use if you are in an area that barely has any pokemon!
