Please Help-Rooted Nook Color

Hi,

My mom just came home and was proud to give me a rooted nook color that her "friend" sold to her for 350 dollars. I told her how she got ripped off since its just 250 and i can root it myself (if i read into it). Anyways so i just played around with it and there's problems already. When i turned it on it was frozen at the "touch the future ..." display. then i click something and messed around with it until it finally works. So that's fine...

when it lauches it says "customized nookie froyo."

I can't seem to find the orginal nook color menu. There's an android nook color app but it's not the same. Also, It doesn't even work because when i get sample books its says that its now in the "library" but nothing shows up!


Soo....after alot of frusturations (also things like mangareader and apps won't even load pages---it's suppose to right) I want to remove all of this and start over. basically, can i restore everything back to normal--back to an original nook color?

PLEASE HELP!!!

this message might be hard to understand cause its pretty late and i half dead right now xD


edit: the android version is 2.2.1
kernel version says: 2.6.29


Also this didn't have a microsd card in it. So i had to use my own

edit 2: oh i just noticed the sticky with help. can someone direct me to which part i should read (if it can help me) please. I'm really nooby at this, but i think i can catch on =] thanks

Just follow the links in the numbered steps for the downloads. 1 and 3 have the download links. For the diskimager for step 2, just google it if you need it.

Haha, I got you. Good luck. I don't have a Nook Color or else I could help a litte more. If your still having issues make sure you check back cause there will be more help later when the sun is actually up

ok i followed the steps and now i ran into a big problem.

so i did everything (correctly i think lol)

and now when i reboot the screen freezes at the "n" logo.

OMGGGGGGGGGGGG. Any suggestions anyone?
