Most times when I put on my Samsung galaxy a24 and use it for some seconds, it suddenly switches to the boot screen and freezes. It doesn't restart until after a long time. Sometime it does the same thing over again when it restarts. Also when I can't wait for it to restart, I perfom a force shutdown on my phone by holding the power button and the lower volume button for some seconds. There are times when i have to do it several times because it keeps doing the same thing over and over again, Is it wrong to do this? If so please tell me. Some of my applications also don't start up, it's either they take a long time to start up or they don't start at all, only a few are able to start up, the battery also drains faster than before, i can't tell if it was because i used it while charging. Its been like this for some days now, my phone also sets my sdcard to read only to prevent data because it thinks its not working correctly. Please what is happening to my phone? I don't have an idea? What causes this and how can I fix this? Was it because of the charging or the constant force shutdowns I did?

Welcome to AC!
I would take your sd card out for now to see how the device reacts, are you able to move any apps to the SD card? I wouldn't recommend doing that.
Thanks for the welcome. No I'm not able to move apps to my sd card, I can't even see files in my sdcard. I went to the file folder and nothing shows up. I just switch on my phone some minute sgo⁴l⅘

Is your SD card still in the device?

In safe mode this will disable 3rd party apps , if it's ok then look at your apps that could be causing this.

If you go into safe mode and it's fine, then start checking for apps
I just went into safe mod. My apps were grey except a few.My file manager app wasn't loading up, it just froze, what does this mean?. My phone also did the same problem I was talking about. It switched to the boot screen and freezes. It also took a long time for it to restart. What could be going on? What should I do?

There's just too broad a selection of possibilities to start speculating yet. You need to start by narrowing things down first, and Safe Mode can help with that.
I just put it in safe mode. Also check out this post below

Can a forced shutdown cause this? I used to do that a lot when it switches and freezes at the boot screen. I also used to use my phone while it was charging, I did it a lot until I notice my phone battery was draining faster. I stopped doing that until a moment I really needed to use it. The moment happened just recently and my battery drains faster than before. A single percent takes only a few minutes to drop. could this be causing the issue?ŕ

Assuming you're using the stock preinstalled apps, this suggests a problem with the system or the motherboard. Next step would probably be to reflash the firmware, which @mustang7757 could probably help with.
How long does reflashing take? Would it erase everything in my phone? Also the sdcard part in my files manager is not showing up. It just freezes, this is it. Someone please help, I don't know what to do, I really need my phone.

In case something on the SD card is corrupt, have you already tried unmounting the card and removing it? The Unmount option should be in the Settings>Storage menu. If there's no option for unmounting, you should be able to simply remove the card.

Yes was going ask again if the SD card is removed from the phone, I didn't get any verification.

I can help you flash the stock firmware and there is a way to flash without erasing the device but like anything make back ups with Google account, photos, use Samsung cloud back up on the device and use smart switch on PC back up that way you can restore your stuff anytime, even Over The Air (OTA) can change home screen set-up,custom ringtones so back everything up.

If you still have the issue with no SD card I think you should try a factory reset before flashing.

Wait,I just remove it and put it back in, i'm still getting the same problem, my files in my sd card won't load up. It's either showing white or the internal storage is not loading up. My file was also not showing up, I just went back and it loaded up again,it keeps doing the same thing over and over again. It's just been set to read only automatically again. can this be caused by forced shutdown or using your phone while charging?

I'm just worried,it's even taking a lot of time to uninstall my applications. My vpn application is still showing even after I uninstall it. The right one is the vpn application, it's showing for some time before it got deleted. That isn't normal. I can't even use kapersky to scan for viruses because it's slowing down. Sd card is showing white again. What on earth is causing this?
