Can you please post recommendations for a spare wall charger for the V20? Tried and true chargers, one that you bought, own and currently use to "fast charge" (3.0) your V20.

Thanks!

One of the best purchases I have recently made is the Aukey 6 Port Quick Charge 3.0 wall charging station. It has two QC 3.0 ports and 4 extra high voltage ports for none QC devices. It usually sits at my work station but it is also perfect for travel. Definitely recommended.

I'm looking for a spare charger (and USB-C to USB 3.0 cable min. 6ft) for my new V20 so I can carry in my bag so it should be somewhat portable. I've been going through the web and realized that there are 16, 18, 20 and 24W variations of QC 3.0 chargers. I'm going to assume thats total watts but how does it effect the device/battery?? Does the higher one charge faster but kill longevity of battery? Do cheaper brands/models offer same quality as name brands?? Any help would be extremely appreciated!

Any Anker or Aukey should work well. I'll look when I get home for specifics.
Anker has great support. If you aren't happy with something they refund without return or offer alternative replacements.

Mikey, what are those specifics?! Which one do you have and how 'reliable' have they been?? I keep reading some of these (Anker and Aukey specifically!) chargers burning up and some even damaging phones that are connected to it. Should I be concerned/worried about leaving it unattended? I def wouldn't want one if I had to be watching over it thats for sure! If there is in fact nothing to worry about, are they equal or better then the original OEM charger that comes with your device? Some have stated that it doesn't charge as fast as their OEM charger. Researching this product has been painstakingly terrible, lol! Thanks for your help!

These are the 2 chargers I've narrowed it down to. Not sure if I should get the dual ported ones either.

Beware, as some other posts have noted, that most Type C chargers and cables are non-compliant, and in many cases they have destroyed phones and laptops. See the detailed tests performed by Nathan K and Benson--those are on Google+ and Amazon (search Amazon for their reviews). As a result of their tests, Amazon is trying to remove the dangerous chargers and cables, but lots of the cheap junk Chinese ones just re-list their products with a different brand.

Note that the V20 is itself non-compliant with the Type C spec, by having QC3 which is not allowed for a Type C charger and phone. While the OEM charger works (it limits the voltage to 5 and 9, subsets of the QC3 voltages) there's no guarantee that any random non-compliant Type C charger will work with your Type C phone--QC3's 20V output will snuff your V20. The two wall chargers they tested and approved (not including the multiple output one that passed) are from Google and Verizon. Also note that the standard Type C cable is 3 feet long; there are a few compliant 6' long ones but most fail the tests.

I've never had a problem with any charger or cable on the V20.
Some cables won't fast with the G5 but never had a problem otherwise.

Note that both Anker and Aukey, generally high quality brands, both make Type C products have have failed the tests. Both have either withdrawn or revised most but not all of their failed devices. See Benson and Nathan K's list of products that passed and failed the tests. You will also see how a non-compliant wall charger destroyed Benson's Google laptop.

I know that there are some understandable concerns about the quality of these Anker and Aukey chargers, but I have an Aukey QuickCharge 3.0 Charger -- one each at home and work. They have quick charged any device that I (or a coworker) have plugged in so far. Microsoft Lumia 950XL, HP Elite x3, BlackBerry DTEK60, Pixel - however, this same charger is not fast charging the V20. Any ideas?

I have a couple of each and no issues.

Interesting. I'll give it a try later, I have noticed sometimes I have to try a few times on other devices to get quick charge going.

Just spoke to LG to purchase a spare OEM Cable and charger for my V20. They do not have any and do not know when they will. Actually they were useless on the phone. I read thru a lot of the reviews on Amazon for the units the have and in my better judgement will personally stay away from any of the knock offs claiming to be OEM. Forget eBay, they are all knock offs from China.

The Aukey chargers I have appear to be doing QC 3.0 but the device doesn't note that it's charging fast on the screen.

I'm going to do a test one of these days between my new Anker QC 3.0 and the OEM charger. I have a little nagging feeling that the OEM charges a bit faster.....at least the first half hour. Seems to get charged more with the OEM one.

OK, found these cables on Amazon, Genuine LG 2-Pack USB-C Cables for G5 Quick Charge 3.0 Compatible to USB-A, that are perfect. They support fast charging using the OEM wall plug, you can use them to transfer data on a PC, not too long to use in my car which supports USB charging and are only 10.00 for Two. Now I can leave one in the car and use the other one with a USB lighter adapter in my Jeep Wrangler which does not have built in USB ports.
