Please tell me why the S3 is better than an iPhone.

Lol I have to watch out for that one bro ha ha but I FINALLY played with a iPhone 5 today and it wasn't all that bad besides the STILL lil screen and the locked system and ITUNES yuck

The iPhones aren't as bad as some of us Android fans make-out, they're just very limited and basic compared to some other offerings :-)

Well once you go back to a I phone if you do then u will see why you should have kept the s3. Far superior screen with the size and that alone will be missed.

I feel I have to comment on this. I just got an SIII last weekend after having owned every iPhone since the original (bought on the day they came out) up till the iPhone 5. I absolutely LOVE the functionality of the SIII, but come next Saturday I might return it for the iPhone 5. I know there will be many things I will miss from the SIII, but the size is just to big for me. I need to be able to use the phone one handed (texting, calling, emailing, etc.). It's a must because many times I have something in my other hand. So far (and I am giving myself till Saturday to figure it out) I have not been able to do that with the SIII. I can't reach the "a" on the keyboard, or the home button when my I am holding the phone from the middle (so my thumb is by the power button to turn it on). When I hold it by the bottom (to reach the home button and "a"), I can't hit the "inbox" selection on the mail app which is at the top of the screen. It's a shame because these are stupid seemingly trivial things that turn out to be deal breakers. Hence it may be back to the iPhone.

BTW, yes I realized this might be an issue with a phone that has such a large screen, but I did not have a choice. The smaller screen Android phones don't have the hardware capabilities of the SIII (or iPhone5).

thats a fair reason to go for the ip5 mate. there arent really any smaller androids that come close being as powerful...

that is a good reason but I'm wondering how small your hands are. I can clearly touch the other side of the phone with one hand with no issues.

Foxfi does not work yet for ICS. Installed on my S3, it showed as a hotspot, but could not connect to it.

lol you should see the UK ip5 commercial mate.. it goes on about how your thumb can touch every part of the screen one handed, how thats "no coincidence" and ends with the punch "common sense" *puke*

me too btw, can touch everything 1handed with a case on and my hands are pretty average i think, kinda monkeyish but average overall :)

I never saw that commercial. In general I tend not to watch Apple commercials, not because I am a hater but because I already know everything about their products. Maybe my problem is how I am holding the phone. When using one handed I tend to have the phone wedged into my palm with my pinky and index finger tip on the left side of the phone (to hold it firmly in my palm). In this manner my thumb can not reach all the way over. Similarly, if I hold by the bottom my thumb can't reach the top. If I hold higher up, I can't reach the home or menu key without hitting something on screen. If however I hold the phone less securely, in other words just resting in my palm with my index and pinky finger tips on the bottom of the phone I can reach everything. Unfortunately in that position I am always afraid that the phone will fall out of my hand.

PLEASE if you have a suggestion let me know. I really want to keep this phone!

Yeah lol, I guess it depends on how its dropped...This blender guy is a rich spoiled idiot in my book though

Hmm, you better go back and watch the video again, because the whole point went zooooooooooooooming right over your head. The video is an ad for a blender, showing how strong the blender is. "Blender guy" is probably a paid actor.

Btw wife owns the iPhone 4.
Best camera I have ever seen.
Has the vibrate switch that I miss from my Treo days.
Vibrates much more then any android device.
Screen only turns off when you set it.
Can't push multiple Gmail accounts
Can't stand scroll forever to get to an app unless you search.
Can't apps in order automatically
Ringer is much louder
Stupid charging cable
Charges fast.

Btw I won an ipad 2 and the camera connection and the HD TV kits are awesome.

Really can't go wrong imho

yeah i just realised in normal one-handed use i have the phone bottom resting on my pinky but when i have to hit the top left corner, my pinky goes behind the phone and the phone slides down my palm a bit.
the reason i only just noticed this and talk about my thumb in the third party though is the fact ive never noticed myself doing it.. muscle memory has adapted to it and it happens without me conciously doing it... if that makes sense lol.
also a nice grippy case makes the world of difference, you know youre not gona drop the phone :)

For some iPhone is great and for others is not. I had an iPhone 4 jailbroken with all the stuff that you can do with it and still I felt limited and in a prison within the ios! I love android because the phone is yours and not Apple's. Other than that iPhones are a good device for certain things including calls and pictures and videos and music; then again android has good phones that do the same and much more.:D

from my galaxy S 3 best phone ever!

and 3rd party apps that will do it :)

I can use my 7 inch Nexus 7 one handed but I can understand that you might miss the smaller screen. I did feel the same way coming to my tablet from an (old) iPod touch but I've got used to the larger size and would never go back. Hope you keep the S3 as I think you'll get used to it soon.

Agreed.
Going from my Droid Incredible (one of the best android devices ever made) to the larger GNEX took a week or so to adjust to.
Gave the DINC to my mother and had to configure something for her and I was over swyping my thumb thinking I had more real estate to work with lol!
