Plugging in headphones, feels like a missing channel.

I just picked this phone up about a month ago off a good seller on eBay. The phone works perfect in every way, I tested the headphone jack since music is my life (no headphones = no drumming) and it worked fine. Updated the phone to kitkat, still worked fine. Plugged it in maybe 2/3 weeks later headphones sound like a channel is missing, very mono tone. Then it went back to normal working for an hour or so and it has gone back to not working for days now. I think I've cleaned out the jack itself, the headphones has no problem being recognized when plugged in , it just sounds very flat, and not an eq flat, just little bass, little treble. This happens to Winamp pro and also Google play

Upon further testing, since I haven't really tried YouTube with headphones on. YouTube works fine.

Maybe it's the quality of the songs, since I wifi them over using Winamp. I'll try connecting my phone to my computer and transferring them that way, maybe it'll work.

Yep, I guess the wifi transferring did it. Thanks any who guys!
Interesting... I use WinAmp and WiFi transfer all the time, never been an issue.

It was hard to tell a difference until I plugged into a different device so I was wrong, YouTube still does it, along with every other music software I'm using, the sound quality is still very bland. It's driving me nutty. Comparing to this s3 tablet next to me, which is not mine, the quality difference is very noticeable. Maybe the jack is on its way out?

I have this problem, too. I only use the jack to connect to my aux connection in my truck. Sounds ok sometimes then sounds like it "loses a channel." I don't use it very much but would be nice if it worked correctly.
