Pocketnow review

Review was terrible he was all over the place dogging sprint apps, Sprint service - download/upload speeds off the wall stuff.

I don't know about you, but I've never gotten 3G speeds that low. Mine are always over 1.5 down, gotten over 3 down in an isolated incident while tethering.

that's what I'm thinking if he's only getting 300K in 3g that's his issue, not sprint as whole. lowest I get is 700K on 3g in my travels (but as always, YMMV)

anyway another thing I noticed... he had 4G on the entire time, plus his wifi was off. that's not saying he didn't TRY using wifi on the sprint tv video, who knows it may just work. but that proves that even with 4g the battery seems to be pretty good if it got him a good chunk of the day, when it was in show it off mode where your going to be using it so heavy the phone's going to be asking you for a water break like football players do in 2 a days.

Also, he kept pressing that back button like an r-tard. He was poking it with the smallest part of his finger and kept missing. Soon as he actually hit the backlit area it worked. I'm not concerned about the sensitivity of the buttons.

I'm so glad you said this....I commented on his Hardware review YouTube video and asked if he has suffered some sort of stroke lately. He had trouble opening the back of the phone, when everyone says it's easy. He had trouble with the USB door at the top of the phone (which most reviewers seem to love).

I think two things are happening here. 1: He's looking at the phone not as a consumer but as a person who was given a phone and told to review it. He has no need for the phone so thus he wants it to do something to "Wow" him. That's why these reviews total almost an hour. He's searching through phone hoping something will pop out. Really an hour? I mean you can really get to know what's what in 15 minutes or so.

And 2: even though we honestly want to know about the EPIC, we are looking at the reviews as consumers who want to receive justification to buy this phone. You really gotta ignore the reviewer and just look at the phone and how it works. Any reviewer is going to take his own biases into a review...the good ones know how to give you info and break it down in a way that doesn't form an opinionated slant...but an actual REVIEW of the item.

Plus this guy keeps saying "latency" wrong!

Lol, what an r-tard

Well I think this points to another issue... he must not have had any idea what this phone was about before he got into it. He probably just winged it without reading a single preview.

That was bugging me, too. Soooo weird.

WTF?! He was saying latency the whole time? I wasn't sure what that word was. Dang it man, he's gotta go back to his nexus wexus and go crawl back into the cave with T-Mobile. The reviews I've seen from this guy praise T-Mobile and the Nexus One (sometimes the G1 too) (it IS a very good phone, but he sometimes takes it to the limit) like an Apple fanboy praises Steve Jobs. He might have other reviews, but I'm just saying the ones that I saw from him.

I don't see why everyone is baggin' so hard on this review.

Sure the button thing was his fault and he spent time nagging about the Sprint apps, but he liked the phone and recommended it.

Some of his answers were flawed. It's not the conclusion of the review, but the accuracy of his comments that we care about.
