Poetic Smart Cover case (similar to iPad style)

I didn't think to try the N7 on the metal table outside of the case to see if it was the table itself causing the issue, or the case + the table. Interesting...

Mine arrived today (ordered it last Friday). Installing it is stupidly easy. No silly straps on the corners or some such. Feels nice carrying it around, never liked holding it without a screen cover. It does add bulk so I have to get used to holding it but its nice. Looks nice too. I do have some issue with the magnet when you fold back the cover to make it a stand. Sometimes it'll shut it off. But folding the cover all the way back doesnt seem to have any issue so thats nice.

The side volume buttons are much harder to use though. Never liked them in naked form and a case makes it worse. Dont think this is specific to this case, but probly with all cases. No issues with the button sockets for power and headphones.

My compass is totally out of wack. Its not working at all. Sky maps won't change direction and when I fold the cover back it gets worse. I took it out of the case and it didn't fix it. The magnet in the case better not have damaged the N7 if that's possible. Why would my compass suddenly not work now? The magnetic reading in Smart Toys is pegged to the red. Says 45ut is normal, I'm getting 500.

Edit---- rebooted several times with the cover case off and it returned to normal. But as soon as put the N7 near the case the compass goes haywire. The magnet is too strong or something, because its making skymaps and the compass act extremely weird. Does skymaps work with anyone with this case? If not Im sending it back.

I don't have this cover, but I did have a cover with magnetic closure that interfered significantly with the magnetometer on an Asus TF300T.
