Poetic Smart Cover case (similar to iPad style)

Got mine too. We should really let the company know about the great service. Best buying experience I've had.

Definitely write reviews after a week or two of use, post pics of any corrections you see to the prior build quality. If you REALLY wanna go whole hog, leave comments for reviewers with older pics or reviews mentioning that some issues have been resolved. Don't vote the reviews down (as a "Top Reviewer" I prefer comments so that I can correct my review and ack the new information), just leave comments. Good to hear that the manufacturer/seller is responding so nicely to people.

Got my third case today. FINALLY RIGHT. Its the case we've all been looking for. Slim form factor, smart cover and folds all the way back. And the fact that they sent me 3 cases speaks volumes about the company. I would totally buy a high end case like this from them if they ever make one. For now, I'm good though.

funny story...i was the one who posted this thread and preordered it...about 2 weeks in, i decided to cancel the order.

just yesterday i received a package and they sent me the latest version at no charge. not a bad case at all. i like the slim feeling, it did have a few dents in it and a tiny tear on one side. not bad for free, though

Okay, I hate to pick nits but I hate the way this 3rd one folds. Mine won't stay positioned when I have the cover folded back to prop it up. Having said that, I never had the sleep problem with the very first one and I have that one on right now.

They have actually been sending me double. My first order didn't go through (card denied). Rather than correct that order I simply made a new one. Because one was addressed to home and one to the office I'm now getting replacements from both orders. I've got four covers now and I have a feeling I'm going to get one more.

Got my v3 as well, and it's exactly what I hoped for. It looks slim and professional. Now that they have the design down, it'd be cool if they offered some colors or customization. :)

For those that have this case, what material is the inside front cover made of (the part that touches the screen)?

Has anyone noticed when you fold the cover all the back in the flate position the cover makes the device screen goes blank or it acts like its locked up. It did this when I was updating apps.

No such issue here. The only time the cover affects my N7 is when it is going fully closed or getting opened from fully closed. And that's how it should be.

Haven't had that issue at all.

I haven't had that issue with my case that just showed up today. I can say, though, that the clips that hold the case in are extremely tight (which is a good thing). I don't think I'll be removing my N7 from the case any time soon. It's too much work! ;)

The case fits great, very snug. The button and port cutouts are very accurately placed, volume and power are easy to press. If you are looking for the slimmest case out there with smart cover function, consider this one as your first option.:)

Just ordered one yesterday along with some more goodies like a dash mount, a cheap pair of headphones (hate ear buds) and a Bluetooth obdii adapter for the torque app. Hope I won't have any issues with the case.

I was at a restaurant yesterday with my N7 with the case on, folded the cover back, and set it flat on the table. The tablet went to sleep. After some confusion, I realized that the metal table top combined with the case was causing it to go to sleep. I haven't had any issues with it otherwise. I don't run into a lot of metal tabletops, so I don't consider this an issue, but it is good to know about.

jasonvvong, did the table you had issues with have a metal top by chance?

I'll take a look tomorrow.

I just checked. It did not have a metal top, but a metal bottom.
