Man, I envy you guys who already have Droids. I've been eligible since March with a BB Curve 8330. I'm going crazy with this thing. I gotta do batter pulls at least once a day. And this is an older rev.0 device so my data is even slower. I was excited for the Bionic, but I'm getting antsy now wanting an LTE phone. I live in an LTE area, so it doesn't make much sense to me to go 3G for the next 2 years, although I really love the Dinc2 (I was at a vzw store earlier today playing with it, the bolt, and the charge). But yeah, count me in as one who is waiting for a sweet LTE phone. The complaints over the bolt's battery life turned me off that pretty quick, and the charge doesn't really excite me for some reason. When I played with it this morning it really lagged, but maybe they just needed to close apps or something, I dunno. Anyways, anxiously waiting in pain with this BB. ugh. :(

I buy phones no-commitment, but I'm holding out for the Galaxy S II to land on T-Mobile. If it comes to AT&T, I'll be happy, but I only use my AT&T line for business. Either way, I want that phone.

I am the same way I rarely buy a phone on contract and especially now with only 2 years as an option the only way I will sign a contract with verizon is if they get a nexus or another stock android phone. Otherwise I will just buy full retail and sell my old phone so its pretty much like getting it at upgrade price anyway.

I'll be sticking with my Dinc until I finally see a VZW dual core LTE phone that doesn't conform to the current 4.3" screen trend. I really like my 3.7" screen, and will grudgingly go to 4.0". I'm not a big fan of the larger form factor prevalent these days.

I wish they would make more 4 inc phones rather than 4.3 I mean yes people like them but I like my phone a little smaller also. It just makes it that much more pocketable and not feel like I am carrying a brick with me.

Not only that its like a brick. The dinc is just so light. I love my dinc.

This explains my situation so clearly. I just recently found out my dad had an upgrade and I've been dying to get rid of this blackberry tour. I've been wanting to go android for a while now so I've been keeping up with android news through this site and browsing the forums. Problem is after reading about all the critical aspects of the various android phones today it makes me want to just wait for that phone that will meet all expectations and nothing short of it. I was originally planning on getting the thunderbolt but I decided not to get that because of my pickiness (I personally just do not like the look of HTC sense UI). I've decided to hold out until the holidays and new years at the latest. Hears hoping for a new nexus being released for verizon! (Fingers crossed)

I'm just waiting for a keyboard phone thats a no kidding upgrade from the d1. Sure, the d2/g are better, but not that much better. The d3 looks like a winner though.

If Sony had release the xperia pro already, I might be have bought it by now. But now its too late. We're coming close to a release of the X2 or d3.

Wow. 50% of responders have been waiting more than 2 months. 21% at more than 6 months. I think I'm going to end up in that 6 month group as I wait on the next Nexus (or at least Vanilla Android, but that us unlikely if it's not a Nexus phone). I would leave V now, but the Nexus S doesn't have an SD Card slot or a notification light. WTF? It's like they purposely messed with the specs so it would not dominate sales. I want to have the latest features and patches. Roms are fun, but since non-sense hTC roms (CM7) don't have decent cameras, that is pretty much a deal-killer for me.

Edit: Nevermind. I see it DOES have a FF camera.

Edit: Devs to the rescue when it comes to the lack of an LED. I was not aware of this: https://market.android.com/details?id=neldar.bln.control.free&feature=search_result

I should just get this for now and sell it if I want the ICS Nexus whenever that comes out. Contemplating...

Waiting for galaxy s2 on Sprint. Have the Evo but no desire for Evo 3d. However if Sprint adds a keyboard to the galaxy my wait will continue.

I really wabt to have a dual core nexus phone when my upgrade rolls in.

Send by my Android

samsung galaxy S II on verizon is the only phone I want. so now lets just hope that rumor about the verizon function holds up.

I'm looking for a HTC Sense 3.0 phone with a 8 MP shooter on Verizon LTE. I know they have the thunderbolt, but the phone is really wide, unlike the new sensation which is taller and still maintains 4.3 inches. I just got Sprint to cancel my contract obligation because of continuous problems with my shift so I'm playing the waiting game but hopefully it doesn't take long. I'd get the Sensation but my job only gives me discounts with Sprint and Verizon

I'm not eligible for an upgrade until August of next year so I'll probably be holding on to my Incredible for a little while longer, at least until the next Nexus phone is released.

I've been nursing my OG Droid along for a while now, waiting for the "perfect" Android phone to be released on Verizon. I just pressed my wife's old OG Droid back into service to replace mine and finally put it to rest. I am hoping that will get me far enough along to upgrade to something that I actually want. I've been eligible for an upgrade since about March, I think. Verizon opened up my account for an early upgrade at that time and I've been eligible ever since, with no apparent expiration. I think my legitimate upgrade date is sometime in October.

I was originally holding out for a dual-core, LTE phone (the Bionic seemed like it would fit the bill), but after the reports of lousy battery life on LTE devices, I could probably stand to live without LTE for another upgrade cycle while that technology becomes more mature and widely available. Just have to wait and see.

Dual core 1GHz is not that enticing. 1.2GHz dual core is not that enticing either. My EVO has been great to me over the past 10 months. My upgrade is available but I'm not sure that the upcoming HW is a big enough leap forward for me. I'm thinking I may go for a tab and use my 4G handset as a wireless hotspot, then maybe update when the quad core CPUs hit. That nVidia quad core looks mighty awesome!

i have to wait till feb 2012 for mine to be available but i can't even decide which OS i want...

I kind of agree. My Incredible is still pretty darn good. Rather than pay $500 for an off-contract phone, I may just get a tab this summer and the next Nexus in January. The Bionic could be pretty slick but if my choice is (Incredible + Tab) or Bionic, I think I'll go with the I+T.
