Usually have the nexus live wallpaper running. Have put up non-live wallpapers before, and haven't really seen a change in battery life.

Yeah supposedly live wallpapers don't use much extra battery because the only time it polls the CPU is when you are actually looking at the live wallpaper. While in an application it sleeps.
