Anyone else get an email right after preordering from Samsung saying they put order in hold due to "another trade in order already associated with address"? Called Samsung (waited 84 min), rep said they're having lots of technical issues, many people are getting same email & flooding the support lines. They gave me a ticket number, said they're hoping to resolve in a few days and to call back next week if I don't get another email saying that it's been resolved.
Okay, that is a new one for me? Could there be another person ordering that is getting it shipped there? Or did you perhaps pre order one device and change it later?
Assume they did give you the trade in credit?
I was getting an error about too many trade-ins in my cart when checking out but that went away and my CC was charged and so forth, no additional email about my trade in address.
But, as many have said these launches do have there issues.
You did the exact correct thing by calling and doing a case with Samsung... Save the emails/communications as I'm sure this will clear up when they confirm it is only 1 trade in?

Yeah because 30 people on this poll is such a great indicator of meeting their sales goal LOL.

And I never claimed anyone was being forced to buy anything.

Oh yeah some releases they enforce this and sometimes they don’t. It’s resulted in me waiting as long as two months for my phone because I usually prioritize my husband’s trade in. They didn’t do this with our Note 10+ orders but definitely did this for our S10+ orders and our Note 9 orders. Our Note 9’s were both so severely delayed we cancelled them altogether. I’m disappointed to hear they are doing this again but not surprised.

Not everyone sees or fills the poll out especially. It can not be done from the app. 30 is pretty good consider most of them are the requlars here. It certainly is no indication of how they really sell but I'm sure they will do OK
 
For me the real estate on the screen is what's most important ummm to me anyways so it'll definitely be the S20 Ultra 🙂
 
Worth noting that most of us in here would fall under what would be classified as "enthusiasts." I think the distribution of who buys which S20 would look quite different with average consumers. It's a shame Samsung never releases those sales details.

I'm the only person in the house with an Android phone or that ordered anything. Samsung rep said it's a problem with their system and they had a lot of people calling with the same issue. They said I'd get another email within a day or two confirming my order was being processed and in fact I just got it so I think I'm ok now. Was just a weird glitch on their part.
 
Not that I need it, but, I would like the Ultra.
However, I need to really start thinking about things. At some stage, I need to draw the line on how much I am willing to pay for a smartphone.

I don't like the camera on the Ultra....how it looks on the back of the phone. It's ugly to me. I never get excited about cameras on phones. BUT, I'm definitely with you on drawing the line on how much I'm willing to pay. There's something that won't let me spend $1500 on a phone. I can't do it. I'm coming close with the 512 S20+. I have the 512 S10+, and I won't buy a phone with less than 512 storage. I love Samsung flagships....they're my weakness, but I gotta put my foot down. My eyes watered a bit, when I looked at my AT&T cart this morning. I don't see myself upgrading next year, either....and that's major for me.
 
Totally agree. I dont know who all these rich, giant-handed oversized-pocketed people are buying the Ultra but that thing is just comically large and even more comically priced

Thank you. That’s good to know. My husband ordered a 128 GB Unlocked Black Ultra. I’ve ordered the Unlocked Pink S20. We hope to get both on time this time.
 
Given that T-Mobile would take half off with my S10 trade-in, I'm considering the S20. I'm waiting on actual reviews to make my final decision.

Just keep in mind that through Tmo, you get 500 off, but there are lots of hoops... you have to pay full price for the S20, on a payment plan, then fill out a form, then in 6-8 weeks you get a Visa gift card in the mail for $500. That's why I chose to preorder through Samsung and got the T-Mobile variant of the phone through them...with Samsung you get an immediate $600 discount for your S10, (so better then Tmo), no form or gift card to wait for, plus an additional $100 credit to the Samsung store which is available immediately at checkout during your preorder, which I applied on the spot to some Galaxy buds+ , so was able to order both at the same time for a total of around $500 out of pocket after tax. Unless you really want to wait for all the reviews, Samsung preorder is a much better deal if you're gonna get the T-Mobile version of the phone.

Ordered the s20 ultra 128gb in cosmic grey. Really wished they had the cloud pink for the ultra
 
Note 10+ will not fit into a s20ultra case. The note is wider as I already tried it

No I was making the point that the note 10 is actually wider thus won't fit in the case. More of an expansion of your comment not a contradictory comment.
