Poor G2 sales blamed on the Nexus 5 and rumors of the G3 specs. Discuss.

Mmm-kay.
So we will count that as one against.
The button placement, in my humble opinion, is a brave one and it was the only way to get the smaller bezel/bigger screen without making the phone itself Note 3 like.
And by that, I mean like a tablet. :)
Again, we all have opinions on stuff, so to each their own.

Anyway, I agree the perception that the Verizon button detents seems to affect the entire line and hope that does not deter interested parties from checking out this great phone.

Keep up the discussion.

I don't get your logic, the note 3 bezel is smaller than the g2

Sometimes even I do not understand my logic.
True, the bezel on the GN3 is .4 mm smaller than the LG2, but the Note's bigger size allows that while keeping the buttons on the side.
LG's placement of the buttons on the back allowed the screen to be bigger without the phone itself being bigger.
The working word is phone not "phablet" like the Note 3.
No ill will intended toward the Note 3. It is a great device.
Hope that clears up what I was trying to infer. Thanks.

Honestly, I don't care about the buttons either way. I rarely ever use them. With knock on, knock off, there's really no need to. Except to change in call volume or maybe snap a pic, in which case the button placement makes perfect sense.

For those admittedly infrequent cases where I did need to change the volume on the phone itself while in my car mount, this was still annoying enough to for me to switch it for other phones as my most used device.

I use universal touch when it's in a car mount. Simple solution to the back button issue.

I agree as far as the advertising goes, I also am the only one I know that has the lg g2

Note is bigger because screen is bigger even with a smaller bezel. The point is without putting buttons on the back still got a smaller bezel. G2 could have buttons on the side without being bigger or having a smaller screen. I hope to see that on the G3. I don't care about advertising and I do like the LG product (especially the Nexus) but the rear buttons cost them a lot of customers. I'm glad you like them but a lot of people don't. It's a really good phone and would sell better with side buttons imo.
