Poor wifi after battery & back cover replacement

[Android Central Question]

Hello & thanks for reading this,
I have a Verizon S8 G950U. I replaced the back glass cover & battery; but afterwards, my wifi signal was weak. I could only see some of the 2.4 & 5 GHz networks I'd previously seen, speeds were slower on my home network & upstairs I could not get a usable connection at all. I thought I had damaged the Wifi antenna (are these the blue & white cables at the bottom left of the main board?) I tried disconnecting & reconnecting them - no luck. I tried replacing the old battery & cover too.

Any other ideas? Thanks Danny.

your last sentence was not clear. were you saying you put the old battery and cover back on and wifi was still weak?
