POP 3 Mail

The POP3 email that I deleted from my phone keeps coming back when I refresh the in box. On the Verizon website in the forums a lot of people are having the same trouble so has any one here have any ideas ?

I can understand the inconvenience.

I'm not having the issue, but am rather vigilant about purging deleted items right away.

This was a problem for me on my Note 2 with Android 4.1.2. At the time, I recall reading that third party email clients handle the POP3 protocol nuances better, so that may be a workaround to consider.
