Recent purchaser coming from the Turbo 2. I thoroughly enjoyed the manual pop3 email setup I used on the Turbo, but I'm unable to replicate it so far on the P2. Am I missing something? Not happy using the outlook app for an msn email since my wife and I share the email. Just for reference, or previous setup allowed each of us to delete emails as we wanted, but it would not delete the email on the server side.

You're going to need to use POP servers to get POP email service. That means you need to manually set up your incoming and outgoing servers on your email accounts. (I am assuming you had Gmail do it automatically for you.) From what ISP/email provider are you trying to get POP email?

MSN is where I'm looking to pull from. You are correct in that it is currently set up in Gmail. The Turbo 2 had an email app that allowed for manual setup for my needs. I know that I can just use Outlook, or whatever else, but when u delete something that does not apply to me, it will disappear for my wife and well.

I use Gmail for my Google account only. I don't even know if Gmail allows for manual server setups. I use Blue Mail for two other email addresses I've had for years. You are going to have to see if Gmail will allow you to set the servers to POP, but I would doubt it since Google is all about having your data everywhere available, on any device.

You might have to use a different email client to get POP functionality.

Thanks for the recommendation. Do you know if blue mail gives an option to NOT delete from server when deleted on device? If it doesn't, have you seen this option in another app perhaps. The previous email app I really liked is a Motorola email client that was very basic and straight forward, but not compatible with P2.

It's available in Blue Mail. Under advanced settings there is an option "Delete Messages from Server--only available on POP3 accounts."

This option is also available in K9 Mail, which I use for business email. K9 Mail has just about every option imaginable, but the user interface is somewhat dated.
