Pop up information

I wasn't even able to search for this because I don't know what to call it...

Anyway, I'm getting these stupid little notifications that pop up on the screen when I do certain functions on the phone. I think they're in that gray oval-shape with white text. For example, if I delete some emails, it will say at the bottom "You have deleted 6 emails." Well yeah...I know that.

Does anyone know how to get these to go away? I went through the settings on the phone and didn't see anything. Also, they just kind of showed up in the past 24 hours. I did the maintenance update a few days ago, so I don't think it was that.

Here's what I do... after I hit delete, I close my eyes and count to 2. I don't see it, therefore it doesn't exist. To my knowledge there is no setting for pop up notifications. You could always just root and try a custom rom. I'm sure there is one without it. (That is, if it REALLY does bother you that bad)

Hehe...nah, it doesn't bother me that much. It just all of a sudden showed up and I wanted to get rid of it. Sometimes it blocks my view of a button and I don't like to wait. I'm very impatient.
