Pop up redirect adds

[Android Central Question]

How do I stop redirects and popups? Recently I have been getting many pop up or redirects on my Android Google chrome. Even on sites that never did before. If I use the back button, it goes into a redirect site not the previous page. One site is a bogus survey to get gift cards and the only way to get rid of it is to close the page and reenter the original site address. Other sites are bare butts and worse. I do not access any of these kind of sites, but they keep popping up.

Which phone?
Try clearing chrome by data,cache,data,force stop it , this will reset the app again. If that doesn't work we can try few more steps .

I am the original poster. I fiscovered a couple of things & found it is a site issue. Got to thinking maybe it was a issue with the music site. Found out that many people are having the same issue with redirects and the billionth Google search scam on that site. The were down and had to fix a problem and when they got it going again these issues started. If the site's screen is closed I have no redirects or popups. If the screen is active in the background I do have some issues on others screens. Thanks for you help
