pop3 email question

I put in all the right numbers, but when I try changing the outgoing port number to 3535, it changes it to 587 after I hit save. Is there something changing it or am I forgetting something?

I think that 587 has to do with wether encryption settings so what ever you are setting it to is in conflict with the port setting. I suggest that you check with your email supplier for the exact settings.

Its my company's email exchange. I was able to use the right port number on my mytouch4g but not on nexus 4. I know I have the right port number, I set up outlook on two pc and they work fine. It also doesn't work on my nexus7. Same issues.
