Popcorn video raises questions

Fascinating! Amazing how these types of things get a life of their own. It's sort of like when that email kept circulating about the sick child wanting to collect Christmas cards. That one, pure hoax, was nearly impossible to eliminate and resurfaced every couple of years.

But I have seen that setup on a few guys helmets that I ride with, I don't know about the one mile thing but they use them all the time, they gave me info where they got them and tried to get me to order one as well but the price was to much for me because it was the helmet and the receivers...
 
that video is almost as bad as everyone thinking you can blow up a gas pump with your phone. just simply false in every way.

Static discharge can cause a fire at a gas pump. Your cellphone won't have any effect. The worst thing you can do is sit down in the car while pumping gas. Rubbing against the seat as you enter and exit the vehicle can cause static build-up. Because so many people use their cell phones at the pump, it's easy to see how this myth was started and would seem feasible.
