Port number from virgin mobile

I have seen several cases on these forums of people getting their virgin mobile number ported to Sprint, but have yet to see how they accomplished said task...

I know it is difficult enough to where they won't do it for you in the Sprint store. So, who do I call? Sprint or virgin? If anyone can provide the actual number to call, that would be even better!

So, I just spent a half hour on the phone with a whole string of women in Pakistan. I called Sprint to request the port. As far as I know, they are processing it- I have no idea as I couldn't understand 2/3 of what they said! Wish me luck!

In the US, as long as you're in the same geographic area, you can port any number to any other service. This includes cell numbers, landlines, and VoIP. It's the law. (Well technically it's an FCC regulation.) Portability: Keeping Your Phone Number When Changing Service Providers | FCC.gov
