I want to know what every one thinks on this. I have my T-Mobile SIM card that I plan on using for the $30 100min/text/5GB data plan for a Galaxy Nexus. I had originally planned to just have T-Mobile port my number from Verizon and go about things that way. I started reading in regards to other people porting their number to Google Voice and setting it up to forward to the new T-Mobile number. What do you guys think would be the best option?

On prepaid there is a chance that they will cancel your service since there is no contract thus you may end up losing your number, so porting your number to Google voice is a safer choice.
There is also the added benefit of using Voip with your Google voice number so you can save your 100 minutes.

i can recieve MMS, cannot send on my Google voice number. I know it worked with my boost, trying it with my verizon

You should probably explain that your receiving those pictures to your email because Google voice does not and has not supported MMS. If it did I would have ported to GV in a heartbeat. Its the only reason I haven't and truly the only reason I can see that people haven't .
