Possible adware - adverts in background

Had my P9 about 24 hours, all of a sudden I get those "you can make so much money in a 1 day" adverts in the background?! ive restarted my phone and it does the same?! I am confused as hell, no apps are open what so ever, what could be causing this? i have tried restarting the phone, reinstalling chrome, ran malware scans but still the same issue. disappointing for a phone that's a day old.

Welcome to Android Central! Are they only appearing when you're using the browser? If so, they're probably popup ads related to the sites you're visiting. Avoid those sites.
