I posted a bit in that "Popular Apps" thread, but I've been looking a bit more into my issue and figured I'd just make my own thread.

I decided to factory default my phone, after having less than satisfactory battery life over the last few weeks. I wiped it completely, and loaded only the few apps I really really used. Yesterday was the first full day of using the phone I was able to go through. Images from GSam are below:

So to me, from looking at this, it seems like I didn't use my phone all that much. An hour of screen time at Medium brightness or less shouldn't be too bad, right? I had fairly good service for most of the day. That lower service usage may have been from switching between 4G and LTE. Even the apps I were using don't look like they were doing all that much. Yet, at the end of the day, on 15 and a half hours I was at 32% battery. Should I be concerned with these numbers, or is this normal? I got through the whole day with battery to spare, but I barely used the thing. I didn't even make any calls on it.

I'm running ICS 4.0.3, not rooted or anything.

Even right now, with my screen at 12 minutes, Phone Radio at 39 minutes, and Held Awake 1m45s, my phone is at 60% battery. Is there anything else I should look at in the GSam app to help with this diagnosis?

That's pretty good battery life honestly. You'd get about 24 hours if my math is correct.

+1

I get 10% from 7am to 9pm with heavy use of dead trigger, text, talk and forum browsing and auto sync on.

Turn your screen to Auto-Brightness setting. It works very well with this phone and saves a lot of battery.

Try to spend more time on wifi and less on LTE. WIFI takes way less power.

And get rid of battery monitoring apps. (Seriously, these things take a lot of power for what they do).

Here we go, some better data. Barely used the phone today and the battery was just sucked right out of it.

My Exchange account is set to push, I'd say I probably only go about 30 emails today. GMail is push also, haven't gotten too many emails. Besides that I've mostly been texting. Not quite sure what's going on now...
