Possible Nav button issue?

Still using the nav keys instead of gesture. But I did notice something annoying. I switched the nav key setup (because Samsung has it backwards), so the back button is on the left side. But I noticed that sometimes, the back button isn't responsive. I can see it light up, so I pressed the correct area, but nothing would happen. I would need to press it again or sometimes the 3rd time to go back. I switched it back to Samsung's way and so far no issue. Anyone else have similar experience? Is this Samsung's way of forcing their default setup or going to gesture?

I have been using Samsung phones from long and always set up the back, multitasking button the Android way and not Samsung way because I keep switching between multiple phones and like to keep the button layout consistent. I haven't seen any issue with the set up, may be switch it up again and see if you can replicate the issue? May be just a one off?

I realize this is old, but I just got an S10e a could days ago.
I too, orient the Navbar buttons the Android way it right way.
I was giving issues with the home button and I think all three. I needed to hit them a couple /few times.
I realized that it may be my MO-MALL tempered glass screen protector, though I've never had sensitivity issues, previously, with TGSPs, but I've never used this brand before, either, so I turned on touch sensitivity and the issue seems to have gone away.
I think swipe typing is faster as well, but who knows?
Maybe I'll turn it off and pay close attention to what occurs with both.

ETA, in a brief test, I turned off touch sensitivity and while typing seemed about the same the Navbar was difficult. I then switched the Navbar button positions to Samsung's way and they were still difficult.
Turned on touch sensitivity and even with the backwards Navbar, operation was easier.
I'm going to blame the sensitivity, or lack thereof of the TGSP.
