Android Central Question

I have my google calendar with my email address. I want to use that calendar as a shared calendar between me and my wife. We both have galaxy s8's. I want her to be able to use that calendar but the problem is that she now gets my emails for that account as well. there doesn't seem to be a way to only have the calendar sync and not the email. any help?

To the best of my knowledge No.

My personal suggestion would be for you to create a separate Google email address, even if you don't have any emails sent to that email address.

Then you and your wife add that separate email address to both of your phones and share the calendar.

Welcome to Android Central! Actually, it's pretty easy to do, but you have to go to the Google Calendar website on your computer browser. There, click on the 3 vertical dots next to the calendar you want to share (in the left column), then Settings & Sharing. Under the Share With Specific People section, click Add People, and add your wife's account. Make sure she has permission to Make Changes to Events. Once you share your calendar, it will appear in your wife's Google Calendar under the Other Calendars category. She won't get your emails this way.
