So I like to use "Hey Google" to bring up Google Assistant and do searches but I find that I don't use the corner swipe to activate it and actually find it annoying sometimes so I'd like to disable it.

Is it possible to disable the corner swipe up to open Google Assistant but keep the ability to use assisted by saying "Hey Google?"

But for me that turns off activating Assistant by saying, "OK Google."

I'd like to keep that part but just disable the swipe up from the Home Screen?

I could have sworn on my Note 20 Ultra with maybe Android 11 or earlier you could disable the corner swipe like the article below.

I'm guessing Samsung has again buried that option like they buried the "Pin media player" switch that kept me from disabling to get rid of Spotify from my drop down?? @Javier P... another activity I can access through Nova Launcher? LOL :D

And the ability to bring up Assistant by saying "OK Google" still works while the Swipe up is now dead.

Excellent! Glad it helped.

Yes, Thank you again. Definitely keeping Nova installed just to be able to access features no longer accessible. Someone should create an app just to access these hidden Activities without need of the entire launcher LOL.

I missed where it was said how to get to these activities? Seems like very useful stuff!!

Long press home screen, Widgets, Nova, drag Nova Activities to the screen, scroll down and expand Settings, select that string I posted. Tap the new widget and change the Pin option. Done.

After this you select OneUI as default Home app and you can forget about Nova if you want. Remember, you don't need to import or make any changes in Nova home screen after setting up as default.

There is an app called Activity Launcher that did exactly that. It directly launched the Activity, without creating a widget, and had a search option which is very useful. I used it a few years ago to run a couple of tests and it worked just fine. I've always used Nova as my main launcher so I ended up uninstalling it a long time ago. I've seen it hasn't been updated for a while so I'm not sure if it's still working or if there's a similar app.

PS. I double checked and Activity Launcher got an update a couple of months ago. It should work fine with A22.
