Yes, I know you can get them for cheap on Amazon but are these possible to re-use? I applied mine but quite a bit of dust got under it and I didn't really notice until a bit later. Is it possible to somehow clean it and use it again? Or is it not worth the effort? It's just a few bits of dust but it annoys me to no end!

I know the feeling. I usually just scrap it and get another one. I know I've read some others cleaning it with water. This is the reason we I'm so strict when I'm installing it. I need that steamed bathroom for excellent dust free application!

I am usually very careful but on this one I kept lining it up ever so slightly off. So I kept having to remove and reapply. Too much time went by and dust snuck in. :(

Usually removing it makes it not stick very well anymore.

But if you do remove it, you can use tape to remove dust from the protector

Try this method:

Also, I'm quoting this from a different thread:

I have gone as far as taking one off due to lint, spraying the back with Windex and then rinsing under water. I apply then squeegee the excess water left from the rinse. I've done this multiple times with various protectors and had fantastic results. The only one that did not work out well was the Nillkin brand.

Per the request of Tardus.
As mentioned, I have taken them off and reapplied.
Take it off carefully and then apply windex, rub your fingers over the entire surface. Rinse with water then use a dab of dishwashing soap and rub the surface again. Rinse thoroughly with water, let as much water drip off as you can. Apply to phone surface, use one of the supplied squeegees (the rubber ones work best) to push out the excess water. Be sure to wipe the edges as the water comes out.
Stubborn areas use the corner of a cardboard squeege. I have done this several times with very good success.

I wasn't sure from your original post (from other thread) if you're using a "wet" method - interesting you had success! First I've heard of that. I can see this being useful if someone really messes up the installation and it's either throw it away or give what you suggest.

If you have hard water I would suggest using distilled water for a final rinse to prevent water marks. Even though wet I assume care still has to be taken to avoid the dreaded dust and lint.

All the installs for mine are dry, so would making a wet install be non advisable? I hate wet installs in general.

I think I'll spring the $6.99 for a new one. :p

I have found that lint and dust can be pushed out with the water when you squeegee.
I tried this after an unsuccessful install, I put the screen protector on crooked....removed it tried to reapply but saw a lot of dust and lint and realized it was toast. Since it was I decided to "wash off" the lint with Windex and see if I could reapply. Purely an accident and desperate attempt to reuse the protector...but it worked. It's important to say that I have had some instances where it will not reapply because too much adhesive was lost.
I figure it like this, try this method if you muck up the install and need to take it off. Worst thing, you still need to throw it away.

Definitely a personal choice; I have seen wet installs go bad with water getting in the seam, between the glass and body.
I would not do it if I were even remotely concerned. A $7.00 screen protector vs. a $600 phone.......:)
