was trying to follow the verge instructions on how to install jellybean and the phone wont boot past the google screen with the lock on it what do i do now

I had the same issue. I booted into recovery and from there was able to flash a factory image of 4.0.4 onto the phone. If you need more guidance post back here. I'm running jelly bean, but it took me a couple tries to get it running
