They could but it would not work on the watered down version that is releasing.

I heard from a friend this morning that Motorola might wait until Froyo before pushing out an update, so to give the DROID the 3D app launcher and 5 homescreens. Current version in testing is FRE68.

yeah 2.1...so is moto really planning a keyboard update? i heard that a while ago and would be very interested in the details of the update - primarily if they exist or don't...

Who knows what moto/vzw are including!

I'll be we'll get a whole new 2.1 experience that no other device has had or will have.

I'm not buying it. Especially since Moto waited for the 2.1 source to be released before working on it for the Droid, and the 2.2 source is nowhere in sight.

Only Gallery and Media Plaer.
Oh yeah, and it bricks the phone for a week before they fix it.

on that subject... what is the expectation for flash.. I heard somewhere it's not even reasonably expected 'til at least October, 2010.

Wasn't it originally supposed to be part of 2.1?
