haha that's funny that they announced it officially, since they released it by accident yesterday!

I know Sense is probably a PITA but i'm getting annoyed. The only thing keeping me from calling Mr. HTC and Mr. Sprint is Beezy and his leak. *sigh*

Well finally Sprint has released 2.1 (although for the Samsung Moment)

Cool to see they mention the Hero is next...

Im sure this brings some comfort to those that haven't rooted yet

So, i'm assuming since I use a Mac, there's no way to download the update when the Hero gets it? Guess I gotta do it in store?

HOORAYYYYYYYYYY! Now I will start my prep work ...

Funny how they got this out just barely before Google I/O, so they wouldn't have to suffer the derision of all of their competitors.

Unless you enjoy frustration, I recommend that you wait a day, or a few hours at least, before you download. The servers are already hammered. Personally I will be taking my handset into the store and having them do it. Plus I'll wait a week or two just to make sure there's no colossal showstopper bugs that they only find upon release into the wild.
