Hello all,

I purchased a Droid Bionic when they first came out in September and like a lot of you I've had issues with it. It had all the big ones like losing data connectivity and the black screen unresponsiveness. Since I had the OG Droid before that, I knew Motorola was capable of making the phone right so I held out for the inevitable updates to fix these issues. I downloaded the latest OTA Friday and it seemed to be working much better... until today. First, it died within 2 hours after being fully charged the night before. Then when I plugged it in it wouldn't even start to charge for about 10 minutes. Finally it did charge but now it is showing I have 100% charge even though it's been unplugged and used for several hours now. I am I alone in this? And even if I'm not I can't imagine having to wait for another update.

Any feedback would be great, guys. Thanks in advance.

Try this:

Settings > Menu > Manage Apps > All Apps > Scroll down to Battery and data manager & tap it, then tap Clear data.

Then back to Home screen and power down/then up.

Check your battery level again tomorrow after a full charge and see if it behaves normally.

HTH

Edit: Oooops! I Shouldn't have started with Settings...just the Menu button.

Thanks for the tip. It all happened again today so I just took it in to Verizon. They are sending me a new one. Hopefully this one works better.

Be advised, that even the slightest movement of the memory chip causes major battery drain and overheating of the system. This has occurred twice for me when i changed batteries and moved the chip slightly. If you change batteries make sure the chip is seated properly, not askance, to avoid battery drain.

I too am seeing no apparent drop in my battery the last few days. It is why I came to the forum today. My battery icon has stayed at 100% for 3 days now. I take phone off charger in morning, use it normally, and by night when I plug it in to go to bed it still shows a full charge and doesn't even start charging initially. Before the update this was unheard of and I often would need a booster charge up in the late afternoon. I wonder what is going on. Stock non rooted with ota 902 and extended battery. Weird, but I don't really want to mess with it since I seem to have stumbled upon a random magical GOOD thing, ya know.
