Generally I avoid posting anything on Reddit. I think the community has become a bit toxic. I used to be an active lurker but I hardly visit the site anymore.

As for Brandon, I've been following him for a while on YouTube and not once did he give any indication of one of those content creators desperate for views. I understand the skepticism nowadays as there are many others desperate for attention. I honestly feel he just messed up and needed to vent. Personally though I would have made a shorter video about the mess up and gotten straight to the point about what happened. If this is now his sole source of income, I can understand the frustration.

On another note, only a few more minutes and it's review party! I'll take my lunch hour solely for this. Haha

Well, if AC is an indicator, I shouldn't be too concerned about reviews for the 6, as it's front in center on the site. Though elsewhere, the Pro is definitely taking center stage.

All the reviews mentioned fingerprint scanner is not good at all and fingerprint scanner is not working when the screen is off... This is the big problem..

Could this not be fixed with a software update? Seems weird they wouldn't think of being able to unlock phone when screen is off.

It's not an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor which is why the screen has to be on for it to work. I wouldn't say all reviews say the scanner is not good at all. I read a review that said it's fast and accurate.

I know what you're saying though, a lot of the reviews have said the reader could be faster but that you get used to it. Perhaps a software update can help for that.

Some of the reviews of the regular 6 state the battery life is not bad but not great. This for me is a big factor on a phone and I wonder if my 5A will hold a longer charge based on my use compared to the 6. I don't heavily use my phone but I still want great battery life so I don't have to worry about charging often.

I'll await further reviews but that would be a bit disappointing as I'm extremely impressed with my 5A's battery life.

I also using 5a too but I don't think pixel 6 can match 5a battery because better CPU , faster screen but I hope it last me a full day..

Yeah I figure stronger processor and 90hz screen would shorten those but I somewhat expect the increase in battery size capacity to offset this.

You do understand that battery life reviews are kinda pointless b/c a lot of that is dependent on the user, settings, and their usage, correct? Not only that but the phone learns and adapts as time goes on further improving battery life.

I'd be pretty surprised if the Pixel 6 has only "okay" battery life and the Pro has markedly better battery life than the 6. I understand the battery is bigger, but it's also running a higher res and larger screen, as well as 120hz at times. And if you're using a telephoto lens much, it's gotta zap some power to operate that mechanism although I'm sure it's minimal.

Completely understood. The only thing is when that same reviewer praises the battery life on another device compared to a review of another that I would then think they use the devices in the the same way and from there comes the comparison. Of course I'll wait for mine to arrive and compare based on my use.

I think video he was definitely meh.. I feel he expected more for the photos as he said expectations were high..
